Deep Tissue massage – Focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It works by physically breaking down the adhesions (bands of painful and rigid tissue) to relieve pain and restore normal movement. A direct deep pressure or friction is applied across the grain of the muscles.
Remedial massage – Techniques such as deep pressure, trigger points and longitudinal strokes on shortened and tight muscles which are used to restore proper function and muscle strength. It stimulates the blood supply allowing toxins in the muscles to be removed. It calms the peripheral nervous system to ease pain and discomfort and improves joint mobility. It also improves the health of the cells and the repairing of tissues.
Relaxation – Pregnancy massage – We use techniques including long strokes, gentle kneading and rolling of skin and muscle. A Relaxation Massage improves circulation, digestion and eliminates toxins. It is also aimed at relieving stress and tension in muscles to leave you oozing with a sense of well-being!
Craniosacral massage – Deals with the bones of the head, spinal column and sacrum. Employs a very light touch and uses specifically designed techniques to release restrictions and compression in these areas.
Lymphatic drainage massage – A holistic approach to promote a healthy lymphatic system which is a complex network of vessels and ducts that move fluid throughout the body. The lymphatic system is responsible for moving toxins away from healthy cells and carrying germ-fighting materials to cells when they are under attack by viruses. Lymphatic drainage is a type of therapy that is intended to help your body produce a free flowing lymphatic system.
It consists of a manual massage, performed by a lymphatic drainage therapist, which focuses on specific lymph nodes and points of the body, as well as the natural flow of the lymphatic system. It is believed that the process of lymphatic drainage reduces blockages of the lymphatic system, which in turn promotes a healthier body.
Shiatsu – Shiatsu or Zen Shiatsu as it is sometimes known as is an elegant Japanese form of massage. It can be described as being a mixture between Yoga and massage. While Shiatsu is without doubt a relaxing massage it also has added health benefits working on all areas, body, mind and spirit. Shiatsu is a synergistic relationship between the practitioner and the recipient. Working with the breath striving to achieve a meditative ‘Zen’ state, the practitioner encourages the flow of energy along meridian lines working through the physical to relax the body, calm the mind, balance the emotions and free the spirit.
Brandon Raynor Technique – A unique, intuitive modality providing pleasure whilst detoxify the body to restore balance and harmony. It incorporates renowned techniques such as: Remedial, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, Shiatsu, Thai, Lomi Lomi, Acupressure, Sports, Reiki and Swedish. It relieves stress, muscular injuries and tendon strains or sprains.
Lomi Lomi – A Hawaiian technique that works gently, yet deeply into the muscles with long continuous flowing strokes. It nurtures the body, enabling the recipient to relax and release, and also facilitates healing on the mental, emotional and spiritual levels.
Reflexology – Based on the principle that particular areas in the feet, hands and ears relate to the internal organs and other structures of the body. A therapeutic method of relieving pain by stimulating predefined pressure points. Renowned for its ability to reduce stress, harmonise the body and increase immunity.
Ayurvedic – Based on ancient Indian medical practices called Ayurveda. The practitioner concentrates on the marmas, subtle energy points (like in Shiatsu) that respond to gentle physical manipulation and work with the needs of the different body types. The intention is to eliminate toxins through purification, strengthen the muscle tone, relax and rejuvenate the body.

-

By indirectly or directly stimulating nerves that supply internal organs, blood vessels of these organs dilate and allow greater blood supply to them. Massage may help you loose weight.
Massage can benefit indirectly and possibly even directly in achieving a weight loss goal.
A regular massage can be as important as regular workouts and correct nutrition in any comprehensive weight loss program. -
Massage stimulates or soothes nervous system. It balances the nervous system by soothing or stimulating it, depending on which effect is needed by the individual at the time of the massage.
-
Massage reduces muscle tensions. Massage affects the muscles throughout the body and other soft tissues throughout the body. It loosens contracted, shortened, hardened muscles. Massage can stimulate weak, flaccid muscles. Chronic muscle tension reduces the circulation of the blood and movement of lymph in an area.
